The Yotel London Gatwick Airport is an absolutely unique hotel situated in the South Terminal at Gatwick airport practically at the doorstep of check-in and arrivals. The hotel has a Japanese-style feel and offers everything that a luxury hotel offers but on a much smaller scale.

The rooms here are small but they have everything that you need to both relax or work if you need to. There is free WiFi so you can connect to the Internet, check your e-mail and surf the web. Each room also has a flatscreen television. If you would like something to eat you can order from the hotel’s room service.

The attraction of this hotel is its convenience and great value for your money. The convenience aspect is that it is actually inside the airport allowing you to get to your flight quickly or to get off your flight and get your hotel equally fast. At 39 to 49 pounds per night including VAT this hotel is quite a bargain. Each room or cabin as they were are referred to, has a handmade bed Bath is 1 m wide which makes it very comfortable for one person but you could squeeze two people into the bed for a cozy night sleep. Even with two people in the room the price remains the same sense you pay per room and not person. At that low price it is understandable that breakfast is not included but it is still offered and you can eat your breakfast here for the low cost 6.50 pounds per person.

The Real Deal Behind Car Rentals

When you are on vacation and you need a mode of transportation to get around to all of the great attractions all over the country. The rental car companies that are out there are trying to make money too so they are not going to tell you all of the ways you can be saving money on your car rental. There are some things that you can do to get the best deal you can when it comes to getting a rental car. Here are some tips that will help you in getting the price lowered on the car you want to rent.

One great tip that the car rental companies don’t want you to know is that if you rent a car on the weekends, the price rates increase because it is the busiest time to travel and the rental car companies raise the rates at that time. If you are looking to save money on your rental car then you need to rent a car during the week. Monday through Thursday is the best time to rent a car from these companies because the rates are cheaper.

Another way to save money on your rental car is to book your car in advance. You can get a great discounted car if you have the rental car company hold your car until you get there to pick it up. Booking your car ahead of time can save you about 20% on the price of the car as long as you use this feature.

Getting the Right Hire Car for London

Choosing the right car to hire isn’t probably the most important thing on your list when planning a trip to the capital city of the UK (and some might argue the culture capital of the world!) but it certainly makes for a better trip.

If you’re flying into Gatwick airport you will be absolutely spoiled for choice, everything from a Micra right up to a Porsche can be hired on demand, and there’s nothing better than cruising around the West End in a 911 feeling like a pop star!

Car hire is pretty cheap in the UK. Gatwick airport and Heathrow are both outside London and seem to be spared the worst of London prices, so hiring a car from either of these two airports isn’t too pricey. Shop around to get the best deal, there are dozens of companies to choose between.

A favourite of the British seems to be the Vauxhall Astra (known as Opel to those of you in Europe). This model of car is everywhere and it’s no surprise to find that almost every car hire company is offering the Astra for hire. Being a small family sized car that is good on petrol makes it a perfect choice. If you want something a little bigger a Mondeo or a Vectra are worth looking at. Go for a diesel too, as running costs are far cheaper on diesels than petrol cars in Britain.
