When you are travelling it can be really hard amusing the children. On the plane it is okay because they can watch the film or play games using their little tables. It is not normally a concern if they make a bit of noise either. However, on other forms of transport it can be much harder. If you are travelling to the UK and arriving at Gatwick, then consider going to one of the car rental places. If you have a car rather than using other forms of transport, you are likely to find it much easier to amuse the children.
Firstly you will not have to wait around, which can be very boring and also tiring for children. You will not have to worry about how much noise they are making unless it is distracting the driver as there will only be the family in the car. You will also be able to give them a DVD to watch if they have a hand held player or you may find that the car you hire has a built in DVD player they can use. You would not be bale to use these on the bus as it is too bumpy and there is not enough room. The train is better as it has power sockets and tables but many carriages are quiet ones so the children would not be able to make any noise. It is certainly worth considering all of the families needs when thinking about what transport to take after the flight.
