While it’s going to take some time, I am so ready for the end of August to begin. If you are under the impression that I simply want to skip time, that is actually not the case. Since I am sure that I have piqued your curiosity, I’m getting anxious because this is when my best friend is finally going to deliver her baby into the world. Although every child is special, this is going to be the very first child that my best friend has, so it is an incredibly special time. My job forced me to move fairly far away from my best friend three years ago, but that doesn’t mean that I would dream of not being there for her when she delivers her baby.

To ensure that I would be there to see my best friend give birth, I booked my trip to London over three months ago. While some people might say that booking my trip to London so early was unnecessary, it actually saved me money (as well as giving me peace of mind). Although I used to live in London and still have family members who live there, I didn’t want to take the focus off of my best friend while I am there. By getting it reserved in advance, I was able to get my London hotel room (which is right by the hospital) at a significantly discounted rate. I want to be able to get my best friend anything she needs while I am in London, so I also booked a Gatwick car rental to use for transportation. The day of the birth is going to be one that we never forget, and I feel so blessed that I get to be there in person!
